Dr Paul Sibraa is a highly experienced specialist periodontist holding qualifications obtained in Australia and the USA. After undertaking extensive specialist training at the highly regarded University of Nebraska (Lincoln) Medical Centre, Dr Sibraa now practices in Liverpool in Sydney’s south-west.
Dr Sibraa provides his patients with a range of services to manage and treat periodontal diseases, and also offers specialised dental implant services.
What is Periodontal Disease?
Periodontal disease is a form of gum disease. Dental plaque is the primary cause of gum disease in genetically susceptible individuals. Bacteria found in plaque produce toxins or poisons, which irritate the gums.
Conservative Periodontal Therapy (root planing) is a non-surgical approach to control periodontal diseases. This involves a number of appointments (depending how severe the periodontal disease is), where we undertake a thorough cleaning of the root surfaces.
On occasions, a surgical approach will be necessary to help resolve the issue if the non-surgical approach is insufficient. This can be undertaken in the chair under local anaesthetic injection.
What is a Dental Implant?
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root made from titanium. The implant is surgically placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. These metal anchors act as tooth root substitutes. Implant surgeries are performed in the chair under local anaesthetic injection.

Our staff will be happy to make an appointment for you and provide you with an estimate of cost for your first appointment.
A referral from your dentist or doctor is not necessary. However, we recommend regular contact with your dentist or doctor for ongoing treatment.

Westfield is a 10-minute walk with three hours of free parking.
